Claresa's Fairy Dance

    Things you will need:

Each fairy must have a wand.
Wings and costumes are optional.
Music.  An Irish Jig or any Celtic music will work.  Just make sure it is
lively!

Turn the music up loud enough to dance to but, low enough for the fairies to
    hear the instructions.

Gather your fairies in a circle.....

After a few times practicing with the instructions, children should be able to
remember the dance and dance on their own.

Claresa the Fairy says that besides having so much fun with the dance it has a
marvelously magical quality of cheering you up when you are feeling sad or
lonely...that is the best fairy magic!
    Raise your arms
    Point your toes
    Clap, Clap, Clap
     Clap hands above head
     Tap, Tap, Tap
All point toes in a circle and tap.

    Wands together round and round
Raise wands and touch them together in
the center and all turn in a circle
     (clockwise).
    Listen to the fairy sound
     (the music)

All join hands make a fairy chain
Round and Round and round again
All turn in a circle (clockwise).

Whirl and Twirl like a spinning top
    Twirl once more....now we stop!

Arms overhead, make a fairy arch
Two children raise arms overhead and
     make an arch
    Under it we fairies march
All fairies under the arch, like "London
    Bridge"

Skip and hop, skip and then
Raise your arms and begin again.
